About the program
We are a Christ-centered 12-step support group aimed at helping betrayed female partners work through their grief, anger, trauma, shame, and any other feelings that arise throughout the healing process after the discovery of their partner’s infidelity or sexual/pornography addiction.
If you are looking for a faith-based support system of women seeking to build up one another while working through the pain of partner betrayal, you have come to the right place!
Our Name
Clementia is the Latin word for “mercy.” We believe that one of the most important tasks of a betrayed partner is to allow oneself to experience God’s mercy in the wake of partner betrayal and sexual addiction.
At Clementia, we understand that navigating the journey of healing can be challenging, especially for those carrying the weight of betrayal. Our story is one of compassion and support, rooted in faith, as we come together to empower one another through this transformative process.
It’s okay to feel vulnerable—here, you’re not alone. We encourage you to express yourself authentically, embracing every emotion that arises. Come as you are; your unique experiences are what truly bring our community to life.
tHINKING ABOUT JOINING?
We welcome all female betrayed partners or women whose partners struggle with sexual/pornography addiction. We welcome you exactly where you are. Why the Dogwood flower?
As a Christian support group, you might reasonably wonder why the sign of the cross is missing from our logo. However, even at first glance, it is actually there!
According to some, the cross on which our Savior died was made of dogwood. This type of tree has strong, workable wood, bark that can produce the richest of pigments, and berries which feed a variety of little forest critters.
While the myth of the dogwood being turned into the cross may or may not be fiction, the truth of one thing still stands: God’s jovial and abundant care for all living things is illustrated in this one piece of creation. Dogwood trees reflect the many varied ways in which Jesus may display His love for us: tending to our daily needs; filling our lives with beauty; dying on a cross.
What other than this resilient piece of creation could better represent what God desires to do in the lives of women who are hurting? Dogwoods are a symbol of death, yes. They are also the promise of resurrection.
